Towner County Soil Conservation
Mission Statement
The mission of the Towner County Soil Conservation District is to promote soil and water conservation by offering financial, technical, informational, and educational assistance and opportunities to the people of the District.
About Us
We provide products and services to the county for conservation. Those funds then go back into the community in the form of educational programs (Eco-Ed, TRESS program with Tom Gisbson, Soil stewardship activites), producer workshops, and county events. Tree planting and weed barrier is our main service that focuses on soil and water conservation. Cost share is available through NRCS, NDFS, FSA, and the State Soil Conservation Committee. Board Meetings are at the USDA Office in Cando the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
